We have incredible news to share with the entire Brascast community! We know that when it comes to broadcasting your programming, every second counts and stability is rule number one.
That’s why we are very proud to announce our latest infrastructure update: Brascast now has streaming servers physically located in Brazil!
But what does this mean in practice for your station and your listeners? We explain everything below.
The Difference of Being "At Home"
Until recently, the vast majority of streaming services used servers located in the United States or Europe. While they are excellent, the physical distance inevitably creates a longer path for the data to travel to reach your listener's mobile phone or computer here in Brazil.
By bringing the infrastructure to national territory, we drastically shorten this path. Check out the main advantages:
- Reduced Latency (Delay) You know that annoying delay between what you say into the microphone and the moment the listener hears it? With servers in Brazil, the response time (ping) is much lower. The audio arrives almost instantly, allowing for much smoother interaction, especially in live broadcasts with listener participation.
- Greater Connection Stability The Brazilian internet operates through traffic exchanges (PTTs). When the server is in Brazil, the connection goes through fewer "nodes" and international routes, which often suffer from congestion. The result is cleaner streaming, with fewer chances of freezes or drops.
- Optimized Routing for Local ISPs Our new servers have direct connections with the main internet providers in the country (Vivo, Claro, Oi, and regional providers). This ensures that, no matter where your listener is - on 4G in the countryside or on fiber optics in the capital - the route to tune into your radio is as short and fast as possible.
Conclusion
At Brascast, our commitment is to provide the best technology so that your voice goes further. The implementation of the BR servers is a giant step to ensure that your radio has the quality of a professional broadcaster.
If you are already a customer, this news is already active automatically. If you are not yet, this is the perfect time to test the quality of our new structure.
